The basis of the use of bank accounts and the use of government schemes to directly transfer the benefits to the public has increased with the implementation of Aadhar. Union Minister for Law, Electronics and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad says that the people of the country have accepted the relevance of the Aadhar.

"The importance of Aadhar has been feeded in the mind of the people of our country," Prasad said. In a press conference called for giving information about the accomplishments of his two ministries, Prasad said that today the amount of subsidy and scholarship is available directly to the account holders.

The government has saved about Rs 93,000 crore from adding Aadhar and bank accounts and making government payments through it. He said that so far 59.15 crore people have added the Aadhar with 87.79 crore bank accounts.  When Prasad was asked the question that the Supreme Court has reserved its verdict on the basis of the Aadhar and if he decides against it, what will the government do?

On this, the Law and Information Technology Minister said that the lawyers of the government have kept their stand very strongly during the hearing in the court. Although the scope of the base has expanded so much that the public has also accepted its importance.

Based on Prasad's statement it can be assumed that the government is no longer ready to withdraw from the Aadhar verification. Since many types of government services have been added through Aadhaar and its positive results are also being seen, its return is no longer possible.

Significantly, the number of Aadhar cards in the country has reached 121.46 crores. 3.88 lakh crore rupees have been distributed to the beneficiaries of the foundation till April 2018. With this payment made through DBT, the Government has saved about 93,000 crore rupees. Earlier this amount was used to go to the pocket of black moneylenders and middlemen.
