This tiny eatery in Indiranagar serves some of the best Mughlai fare in Bangalore. With its mouth-watering grilled meats and affordable prices, Khan Saheb is a favourite with non-vegetarians. It is famous for its wide range of kababs, such as chicken kalmi kabab, mutton sheek kabab, mutton boti kabab, and chicken malai tikka, with vegetarian options such as grilled mushrrom and babycorn and paneer and aloo tikka also available.

BRAHMIN’S COFFEE BAR

Started in 1965, Brahmin’s Coffee Bar is a city landmark that is still frequented by generations of loyalists for its breakfast and evening tiffin. Situated in Basavangudi, it remains one of Bangalore’s most memorable dining experiences. The spare menu offers only four dishes, but each is prepared to perfection using family recipes. These include soft idlis, crisp vadas and tangy khara bath, all served with coconut chutney in steel plates.

KARNATAKA BHEL HOUSE

Started in 1975, this small food joint on Chamrajpet’s Bazaar Street is famous for its delicious and authentic chaat. The signature dish is the masala puri, which is crisp and prepared with an in-house mixture of spices. The only other dishes on the menu are the sev puri, dahi aloo puri, bhelpuri and pani puri. Seating is limited so it’s common for hungry visitors to feast on their chaat while standing on the pavement.
