Indore: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Friday poked fun at people's love for English, referring to the rising utilize of words like mummy-papa and dad.

"Nowadays, instead of mata-pita', the use of mummy-papa has gained legal tender," CM said during an event where hundreds of school children sang Vande Mataram. "With our love for English, we call pita 'dad'," CM Singh asserted.

"One of my friends lost his father. The friend, with his love for English, told me that his pita has become dead' (which sounds closer to dad')," CM Chouhan shared the story.

"This is a bizarre deformation that has to move stealthily into our accepted wisdom,” CM further said.

Addressing to reporters later, Chouhan referred to Rajput queen Padmavati as "Rajmata" and said grand personas who laid down their lives for the nation should always be appreciated with full of respect.

A movie made on Padmavati's prodigy by Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is trapped up in a hullabaloo at present.

Questioned about the setting up of a bust of Nathuram Godse, the murderer of the father of nation Mahatma Gandhi, in Gwalior, CM Chouhan said it has been detached after controversy raised.
