Yavatmal: It is still shocking  A US-based Indian engineer gets married his gay lover in a traditional Indian-cultured-wedding ceremony at Yavatmal on December 30,  few days before the Supreme Court decided to review the criminalization of homosexuality. Police and the hotel where the wedding held seemed the other way, taking into account the legal haziness regarding gay marriage in India.

The native of Yavatmal 40-year-old, Hrishi Mohankumar Sathawane married with Vinh who is said to be from Vietnam, with the blessings and greetings of his kin and friends.

Hrishi, who has a BTech degree from IIT-Bombay, at present resides in California and is a US green card holder as per his social media profile. His parents were not in favor of his homosexual relationship, but he was achieved what he wants to convince his kin to bless him and his partner Vinh.

Pics on Hrishi's social media account show the two got engaged in mid-2017, followed by an American wedding in October. Even if the owners of the hotel confirmed that it was a simple get-together, the FB posts of the gay couple's friends make it clear that the marriage was made official in Yavatmal. The photos have made rounds on social media, with hundreds of likes. When asked, additional SP Amarsingh Jadhav first said he did not want to make a comment, but soon after he added that an inquiry was ordered by him.
