The Malayalam actor Mohanlal has launched director's Priyadharshan's next Tamil film titled 'Nimir' moreover the film will have Udhayanidhi Stalin who is going to play the lead role in the movie. The movie has also the star cast of Namitha Pramodh, Parvathi Nair, Samuthirakani, MS Bhaskar and Mahendran. The film is produced by Moonshot Entertainment. The launch event took place in Chennai with Mohanlal in attendance.

At the launch event of star cast, the Malayalam actor Mohanlal wished success to the team of 'Nimir'. He predicted that the movie would turn out to be successful. He said, “I believe that this film will turn out to be an important one for both director Priyadharshan and actor Udhayanidhi.” He even asked the director when the film’s first look will be launched, to which Priyadharshan said, “Most probably Saturday, but who will be releasing it is suspense.”

'Nimir' the movie is the remake of the hit Malayalam movie Maheshinte  Prathikaram, Priyadharshan’s last directorial Oppam starred Mohanlal in the lead role, and the film was received well by the audience and critics.In the meanwhile, Udhayanidhi Stalin is busy with his upcoming project Ippadai Vellum, which was censored recently. This film is produced by Lyca Productions and Manjima Mohan will be the leading lady of the film. Written and directed by Gaurav Narayanan, it is an action comedy that has Daniel Balaji and Soori playing supporting roles.
