In Shahjahanpur, a man forcefully shaved off his wife’s head because she refused to sleep with another man for the sake of money. Nigohi is a village in Shahjahanpur, where the accused lived with his wife.

On Monday, the incident took place, after which the man was arrested on Tuesday. 
As per the information provided by the police officials, Ashok Kumar, the accused was involved in Liquor manufacturing and has been arrested for the same previously.

28 years old Khushbu Devi, on Monday, reached to the Police and filed an FIR against her husband, Ashok Kumar and his brother.

According to the Lady, Ashok and his brother added certain sedatives (a class of drugs that causes unconsciousness) to her food and as she fell unconscious, the two men shaved off her head.

According to the complaint filed by Khushboo Devi, Ashok Kumar and his brother Manoj Kumar have been booked under IPC sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 328 (causing hurt by means of poison etc) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman).

The couple got married 9 years ago and had 2 children. Sunil Sharma, the SHO of Nigohi police, asserted, “He has been booked and arrested earlier for manufacturing illicit liquor. Based on the woman’s complained, we registered a case against Ashok and his brother."

The lady complained, “After I returned from my sister’s house on Sunday evening, my husband asked me to sell my body and bring him money. I ignored him and went to another room. When I woke up on Monday, my children told me that I fell unconscious shortly after having dinner and that their father and uncle shaved off my head. I had dark, long hair and now I am reluctant see my own face in the mirror."
