Slovenia Open Junior and Cadet Open Table Tennis championship Indian pair bagged Gold Medal.

In the junior doubles event of Slovenia Open Junior and Cadet, Open Table Tennis championship at Otocec on Sunday the Indian duo Manav Thakkar and Manush Shah won the gold medal. 

The Indian pair beat the Chinese Taipei pair of Feng I-Hsin and Tai Ming-Wei by 11-7, 11-6, 17-15 in the clash to win the event. To reach the finals Manav and Manush had defeated Anukram Jain and Snehit Suravajjula by 11-8, 8-11, 9 -11, 11-7, 14-12.

 In the semifinal, the Indian player Jeho Himnakulhpuingheta defeated Iran's Radin Khayyam by 11-5, 1-4, 11-9 to book the place in the Cadet Boys singles event. In the finals, Himnakulhpuingheta will face Owen Cathcard of Ireland. In the Cadet quarterfinals, earlier Payas Jain and Diya Chitale were crashed out. Payas was defeated by Radin Khayyam by 11-9, 11-6, 6-11, 5-11, 6-11 while Chen Ci-Xuan brushed beat Diya by 8-11, 11-8, 11-9, 9-11, 11-7. 

On Thursday night the Indian team won gold and silver in the junior boys' team event and silver in the cadet girls' category at the Slovenia Junior and Cadet Open. The India A boys defeated the Chinese Taipei trio.
