Mass-cycling event 'Saksham Pedal Delhi' to held

A mass-cycling event 'Saksham Pedal Delhi' will be organised by the Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) which is scheduled to begin from November 5. The mass-cycling event is scheduled to take place at the  Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Delhi. It is done for the promotion of cycling and also for the awareness among masses about conservation of petroleum products.

In the event, the players from all over the India can take part for which they can enrol themselves in various event categories through online web registration. Elite Cycling (50km/30km), Amateur Ride (30 km), Open Ride (10 km) and Green Ride (5 km) are the categories in the event.

Alok Tripathi, ED-PCRA on Saturday while Speaking at the launch said cycling for short distances not only saves fuel but also provides cleaner air to breathe and better health for tomorrow.

Onkar Singh, Secretary General- Cycling Federation of India (CFI) congratulated PCRA on their vision to promote cycling which will spread the message of a greener environment along with saving of fuel.

 

He further said that the event has provided a platform for our cyclists to become ambassadors of oil conservation.

India with 'Saksham Pedal Delhi' will have a first large-scale mass participative platform which will lead to the promotion and awareness of fuel conservation.
