Meeting with Kumaraswamy first, Rahul Gandhi asks Karnataka Cong leaders to wait

In a bid of hung assembly in Cauvery disputed state Karnataka Congress president Rahul Gandhi has reportedly denied permission to senior Congress leaders Siddaramaiah, DK Shivakumar and G Parameshwara for coming to Delhi for negotiations on formation of JDS-Congress alliance government in Karnataka.

All these senior leaders were earlier schedule to meet the Congress president in national capital to talk about names of leaders who would join the alliance government. Deliberations were also shuddered to be held on the allocation of portfolios. However, the congress scion has now told them that the meeting would be conducted after Congress leadership confirms the support of the JDS leadership.

It is Note worthy that, JDS leader and Chief Minister-elected HD Kumaraswamy is shudeled to meet Rahul and Sonia Gandhi in New Delhi on Monday. According to sources who told Zee News that there have been too many differences over allocation of portfolios and selection of candidate for the post of deputy chief minister.

“HD Kumaraswamy, who will hold the office of Chief Minister, wants to keep Finance, Health and PWD ministries with himself whereas the Congress is eyeing key ministries like Home and Power”, as ZEE news reported.

On the other hand Kumaraswamy has also declared that he would remain the Chief Minister for all five years, citing an assurance given to him by senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad. The JDS leader has reportedly said that he was offered CM-ship for five years and only then he decided for the post-poll coallition. According to sources, the JDS leader has denied to give up from his stand.
