Mehbooba Mufti, the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir reffered to the bloodshed across the international borders of Jammu and Kashmir as “ unfortunate”.

The ceasefire was violated after a conversation between the DGMOs.

The DGMOs of India and Pakistan held a dialogue on May 29 and also agreed on implementing completely the pact on ceasefire of 2003 to put an end to blooshed on the borders.

The statement were exchanged between Indian DGMO Lt Gen Anil Chauhan and Pakistan’s Maj Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza.

Hence she has declared yet another DGMO[Directors-General of Military Operations] level meet with Pakistan regarding its ceasefire violation.

She also added that there are lives being lost on both sides of the border hence the bloodshed needs to be stopped.

Her statement read:

“The ceasefire violation on the border, in which two BSF jawans have been martyred and several civilians injured, is very unfortunate and it happened despite DGMO-level talks. It should not have happened. People on both sides are dying. The DGMOs should meet again and talk and the shelling and bloodshed on the borders should be stopped”.

The chief minister released the statement after 2 BSF[Border Security Force] members were shot dead in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu District

After pakistan violated the ceasefire.
