Minor girl abducted and raped by 26-year-old disabled man

In Puranpur city, Pilibhit, a 15-year-old girl was kidnapped and raped by a 26-year-old disabled man. Police told that the accused man has been urging the minor into marrying him for the past two months. After FIR was lodged in the case and hence the police have arrested the accused. 

According to the police officials, on May 14, the accused man, Abid Khan, had vigorously taken the girls to his maternal grandmother’s house. After reaching the place the man allegedly raped her. Khan is a resident of Razaganj locality in Puranpur city. Police stated that the accused man had illegally imprisoned the girl for two days before letting her go.

The girl's mother told TOI that earlier, they had requested the police to lodged a complaint but was rejected. On Friday, the FIR was registered after they met the superintendent of police (SP), Balendu Bhusan Singh.

The minor survivor in her statement, she also alleged that the arrested was supported in the crime by his father, Yameen Khan. And also said that she was later threatened not to reveal about the event to her family members.

Station house officer (SHO) of Puranpur Kotwali, Yogendra Sharma, said that an FIR was lodged against Abid Khan and his father Yameen under sections 452 (house trespass after preparation for hurt), 376 (rape), 506 (criminal intimidation), 342 (wrongful confinement), 120 B (criminal conspiracy) and section 3, 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
