Probably It is the first welcome to Japanese PM Shinzo Abe by PM Narendra Modi on Indian soil, and his grand hosting from Mumbai to Ahmedabad airport for Sabarmati Ashram will take eye balls for each and everyone.

Modi, as anticipated, welcomed Abe with a warm and big hug at the airport. The jury may still be out on the effectiveness of tailored diplomacy but that hasn't prohibited Modi from taking, as Indian officials here put it, unparalleled interest. Abe's visit, right from choosing the restaurant for the welcome dinner and deciding which historical monument to take Abe to in what is India's first Unesco World Heritage City.

Source Said “Abe, who lost no time after he got off his plane in getting dressed in a kurta-pyjama and what's come to be known as Modi jacket these days, seemed to thoroughly enjoy the open-top Gypsy ride as he and wife Akie, who wore a salwar-kurta, waved constantly at the crowds gathered along the 8-km route”.

After giving welcome to PM Abe at the airport and taking him on an open jeep road show to Mahatma Gandhi's Sabarmati ashram, PM Modi accompanied him to the allusive mosque made in the 16th century.

Then two cream of the crop walked across the road to the prominent restaurant Agashiye where local and Delhi chefs fluff up a great mix of Gujarati and Japanese flavors.
