NEW DELHI:  After providing Cold Shoulder to Trudeau’s India-visit in the first half, Today Prime Minister Narendra Modi  Stood beside his Canadian counterpart Justin Trudeau, on Friday and in joint presser said that any attempts to challenge India's integrity and unity will not be tolerated.

"There should be no space for those who misuse religion for political motives and promote separatism. We will not tolerate those who challenge unity and integrity of our countries," PM Modi said as he addressed a joint press meet with his Canadian counterpart PM Trudeau at Hyderabad house.

PM Modi's statement assumes connotation in the light of the Trudeau cabinet's "soft stand" on pro-Khalistan outfits based in Canada.

On 20.02.218, a major Khalistan controversy sparked after PM Trudeau's wife, Sophie Gregoire Trudeau, was clicked standing with a convicted pro-Khalistan terrorist Jaspal Atwal, at a Mumbai event.

Terrorist Jaspal Atwal, who was a associated International Sikh Youth Federation which is now-banned and he was sentenced to prison 20 years term for trying to kill the then Punjab cabinet minister Malkiat Singh Sidhu on Vancouver Island in 1986. Atwal later even had confessed that he was the shooter.
