Prime Minister Narendra Modi  arrived in poll-bound stae to campaign for in Tuensang in Nagaland and in Phulbari in Meghalaya on Thursday. This will be his second visit to the state since he came to power.

There are six assembly seats in Tuensang district in the eastern part of Nagaland. PM will take with him his govt's unique North East push.

Modi lashed out at those indulged in vote bank politics to create divide in the society.

We have approved construction of 8,500 houses in Nagaland. For the construction of new houses and completion of old schemes for houses, we have decided to provide Rs. 160 crore to Nagaland, said PM Modi.

PM Modi talkd about the Ayushmaan Bharat programme as saying the National Health Insurance scheme would ensure a Rs 5 lakh cover for poor families. Under National Health Mission, Nagaland has been provided Rs 400 crore, Modi said.

Today, organic farming has a big market globally and entire north-east has immense potential for it. We are encouraging farmers to shift towards organic farming. This will add to their incomes, said PM Modi
