Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami will be granted a place in the B grade category by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The player will now be able to play for India again.

“Mr. Neeraj Kumar has submitted a confidential report to the CoA. Based on the conclusions, the CoA is of the view that no further actions/ proceedings under the BCCI anti-corruption code are warranted in the matter,” said BCCI in a statement.

BCCI had renewed the central contracts with the players on March 7 in which Shami was left out after the accusations by his wife, Hasina Jahan.

Hasina Jahan had accused Shami of assaulting her and cheating on her. She posted screenshots showing Whatsapp and Facebook chats of Mohammad Shami with many women.
After several accusations on social media, Hasina Jahan, wife of Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami, has filed a complaint against the latter at Lalbaazar Police station in Kolkata.
Mohammad Shami first took to Twitter and denied the allegations and has since maintained his stand of being innocent while terming the whole issue as a conspiracy against him to malign his image and ruin his cricket career. He even said that he would apologise to his wife if the allegations are proven true.
