Mohanlal is one of the most popular actor in south. After delivering blockbusters films like Ravanaprabhu, Loham and Spirit, director Ranjith and actor Mohanlal collaborated for film Drama and it seems they have succedded in winning the heart of audience yet again. This satirical entertainer has released in 140 screens in the Kerala circuit, which is a huge number and gained positive reviews from the fans. This movie which has registered good numbers in the advance booking report has collected 5.11 lakhs from the 27 shows in Kochi on its opening day. The occupancy rate of the film was around 69 per cent.
The numbers are slightly lower compared to Mohanlal's last release Neerali and Kayamkulam Kochunni. Talking about Ajay Varma's thriller, it had earned Rs 6.57 lakhs, Nivin Pauly's period drama Kayamkulam Kochunni, which featured Mohanlal in a special had earned Rs 19 lakhs on its opening day.

Considering the benefit of extended weekend of four days, we can expect that the collections gradually at the ticket windows.
