Yesterday was truely a day which would marked in the history of Indian constitution with bold letters. The president of Congress, Rahul Gandhi got up from his seat while addressing the parliament, walked up to the Prime Minister of the country and hugged him. As soon as the former was about to return to his place, Narendra Modi called him back and greeted him with all appreciation. Rahul then touched Modi's feet. After the act of exchanging pleasantries, Rahul returned to his seat. He continued with a few lines of his speech and then sat.
The Congress President after few minutes winked at a companion sitting nearby. In his speech, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi referred to the 'no-confidence motion' and said, "What is the hurry to come to power". In his address, he also kept his point about the claims made by the opposition. The PM affirmed, "In the morning, the voting was not over, the debate was also not over. One member comes running to me saying- Utho Utho Utho...What is his hurry to come to power?
Let me tell this member it is the people who elected us. That is how we have come here." He then talked about the gesture of Rahul Gandhi towards him and affirmed, "I was surprised at Rahul Gandhi's excitement to come and hug me. What is the hurry? You should trust the people in a democracy. Some people are in a rush to get to the treasury benches."
In his speech, Rahul had talked about Modi not being able to make an eye contact with him. Replying to his comment, Narendra Modi, in a mocking way asserted, "Talking about eyes, we have seen quite a lot of eye movement today."
