Safty, the need for an hour!
Every time you go out, your family gets worried about your safety. No matter how mature you are, if you have parents you will agree with us. But on National Safety Day we talk about the safety of the issues like Financial Loss, Health problems, industrial accidents etc., where the safety of every citizen is the concern.
Background:
The National Safety Day Campaign being spearheaded by the Council to mark its Foundation Day. National Safety Council of India is a self-governing body (non-profit and nongovernmental organization for public service) which was established on 4th of March in 1966 under the Societies Act in Mumbai, having over 8000 members. This day has significantly contributed to the reduction in the rate of industrial accidents and created widespread safety awareness even in such sectors which have not been covered by any safety legislation. The campaign is comprehensive, general and flexible with an appeal to the participating organisations to develop specific activities as per their safety requirements.
Objectives:
The objectives of creating this day are to strengthen the healthy environment in the workplace. The basic objectives are:

Similar to other days, National Safty Day is also celebrated on some themes decided by the government.
