Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli to arrive in India today

Nepal Prime Minister K P Sharma Oli will embark on his three-day visit to India from today amid hopes of both sides resetting their ties to re-establish the full measure of mutual trust and confidence.

External Affairs Ministry stated that India and Nepal have the benefit of age-old, special ties of friendship and cooperation and the visit will provide an opportunity to evaluate wide-ranging cooperative partnership and to improve it further.

Besides holding bilateral talks with Prime Minister, the Nepalese head of government will also call on the President Ramnath Kovind and Vice-President Vainkaya Naidu. He would also meet External Affairs Minister Sushama Swaraj and Home Minister Rajnah Singh.

PM Oli will also visit G B Pant University of Agriculture and Technology in Pantnagar, Uttarakhand. He will also take on with the business community as well as the Nepalese Diaspora in India.

He will pay a visit to the Breeder Seed Production Centre and an integrated farming project there.

PM Oli will also be conferred with an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Science at the university.

The visiting premier will be accorded a ceremonial reception on Saturday at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in the presence of President Ram Nath Kovind.

He would leave for Kathmandu later in the evening from Delhi.
