Netflix is in no mood to change the controversial dialogue about Rajiv Gandhi

Netflix's web series sacred games is creating a lot of buzz due to the performance of its cast Nawazuddin Sidique, Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte. It has not achieved only praises, but also landed itself in the political problems. There is one scene in this web series in which a character of Nawaz says ‘fattu’ to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi. This dialogue created controversy and Congress legal team filed a petition against Netflix in Delhi High court asking to remove that scene. But Netflix is no mood of removing that controversial word. Advocate Chander Lal appearing said that his instruction is that they don’t want to change the word about Rajiv Gandhi.

Congress President and son of Rajiv Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and supported the freedom of expression. Gandhi wrote that he believes that BJP/RSS believe the freedom of expression must be policed & controlled but he believes that this freedom is a fundamental democratic right. He further wrote that his father lived and died in the service of India and the views of a character on a fictional web series can never change.
