India won the toss and elected to bat first in the first ODI against New Zealand in Mumbai. India will look to begin the three-match series on a winning note. The pitch in Mumbai looks good for batting but the conditions are hot and humid. India is coming into the series after a 4-1 series win over Australia and will look to conintue their domination at home. The last time New Zealand played an international game was back in June during the ICC Champions Trophy 2017.

Skipper Virat Kohli who will feature in his 200th ODI when he steps onto the Wankhede stadium against New Zealand on Sunday, has carrier some phenomenal numbers and record to his career in the recent times and will look to add to his wonderful run-scoring momentum against the Kiwis. India will like to take their Number one crown back from the Proteas in this series against the Kiwis.
