The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday expressed condolences on the passing away of former Test cricketer AG Milkha Singh. A fearless batsman, A.G. Milkha Singh’s batting, according to those who witnessed him at his peak, had the grace and flow of a natural. And there was a heart and feel to his cricket; he conjured runs rather than construct them. Sadly, Milkha, one of Tamil Nadu’s most charismatic cricketers, passed away following a cardiac arrest here on Friday morning.

"The BCCI condoles the sad demise of AG Milkha Singh, a former Test player who passed away on Friday," the board said, in a statement. Milkha, the former Tamil Nadu batsman, passed away following a cardiac arrest at a hospital. He was at the age of 75. Milkha, who belonged to a family of cricketers, was survived by wife, a son and daughter. The former left-hander batsman had appeared in four Test matches and made his debut for India just after turning at young age of 18. We pay tribute to this legendary batsmen career.
