In the case of the Nirbhaya gang rape, the Supreme Court will decide on Monday the verdict on the reintegration of three of four convicts today. Akshay Kumar Singh (31), one of the four convicts in the Nirbhaya case, has not filed a reconsideration petition against the May 5, 2017 verdict of the Supreme Court. Akshay Kumar Singh's lawyer AP Singh said that Akshay has not filed a reconsideration petition till date, they will file it later.

The bench of Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, Justice R Bhanumati and Justice Ashok Bhushan Mukesh (29), Pawan Gupta (22) and Vinay Sharma will hear his verdict on Monday.

In the 2017 verdict, the Delhi High Court and the lower court upheld the death sentence awarded to a 23-year-old student in the case of gangrape and murder on December 16, 2012. Six people have been gang-raped with Nirbhaya in a moving bus and thrown on the road after serious injuries. She died during treatment on December 29 at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore.

Ram Singh, one of the accused, allegedly committed suicide in Tihar Jail. The accused also included a minor, he was convicted by the juvenile justice board and released for three years after being kept in the Reform House.
