No Doctors At Hospital, 13-Year-Old Rape victim's Medical Tests On Hold since 2 days

GHAZIABAD (NT): A 13-year-old girl, who was allegedly gang-raped two days ago, is still waiting to undergo for medical investigation because doctors are not available at the hospital as are the two minor accused booked in relation with the case, police said today.

The victim, a minor, was playing a game with the two boys of her neighbourhood on Saturday evening when they took her to a silent place and took turns to rape her while the other gagged her, the victim's father said according to the FIR filed.

A case has been registered under the section 376 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.No medical test could be conducted even after two days due to the non-availability of doctors at the government hospital, Senior Sub Inspector of Sahibabad Jitender Singh said.

Mean While, In Haryana also a 22-year-old woman, who was returning home from work on Saturday evening, was kidnapped and gang-raped allegedly by three men who were running car for nearly two hours in Haryana's Faridabad. They later dumped her near a petrol pump in Sikri village, about 20 km from where they had picked her. No arrests have been made so far.

According to police, the incident took place around 7 pm when a few men in a sports utility vehicle (SUV) forcibly pulled her into the vehicle and took turns to rape her. The woman has the injury all over her body, a crime branch officer said. A medical test has confirmed the rape following which the police registered an FIR against unknown persons.A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has also been formed to investigate the case.(NT)
