Nobel prize winner of Indian origin and well-known British novelist Sir VS Naipaul died on Sunday. He was 85 years old. The family of Naipaul confirmed the death of the well-known writer. According to the statement issued by the family, Naipaul, at the age of 85, will be cremated in a London-based house. After the death of Naipaul, his wife said, "He lived a life full of creativity and enterprise. At the last moment, all those people he loved were together." 

Naipaul was born on 17 August 1932 in Trinidad. Later in many interviews, he kept Trinidad away from his identity. In 1983 he said, "Yes, I was born there. I thought it was a big mistake." Naipaul got a scholarship to study in England in 1950 and he came to Oxford University, where he met Patricia Hell. In 1955, both of them married the family without informing them. Hell had died from breast cancer in 1996. His first novel 'The Mystic Maasar' was published in the year 1951. In the year 1950, he won a government scholarship. 'A Bend in the River' and 'A House for Mr Biswas' are counted among his famous works. Naipaul was awarded the Booker in 1971 and the Nobel Prize for Literature in 2001. Naipaul wrote more than 30 books. 

He also tried to engage in depression and self-indulgence in student life. He took more than three years to write his most famous novel A House for Mr Biswas. Naipaul was against colonialism but kept himself separate from any social movement. He used to see himself as a real person who has become free from illusion. Naipaul used to suspect religion and politics. Many times his comments have been debated. He called India a 'Slave society'. It is also that there is no future for Africa and explained that Indian women put a dot on the forehead to say "My mind is empty."
