The opening of accounts in banks is not very easy today. People often have to face difficulties in opening accounts in government banks. That is why a large number of people stay away from it. But do you know that if any bank employee or manager does not provide service then you can complain using your rights? Apart from this, the customers have many rights, which often they are unaware of. We are telling you the rights today so that they do not have any problem in taking banking services.

 

The Banking Codes and Standards Board of India (BCSBI), formed by the RBI, make certain rights for the customers to make the banking facility better. Banks are instructed to tell the customers by writing these rights in the bank branches.

 

Right to open account: Every person has the right to open a basic or small account. It can be opened by signing a photo and form or by putting a thumb. There is a limit on the transaction in this account. However, no bank can refuse to open an account of any Indian citizen living in any part of the country in the absence of permanent address only.

 

The bank account can be opened for Free: The bank can not take any fee from you to start the bank account again. If it takes, then it is wrong.

 

Right to Complain: If you are not satisfied with any service of the bank, you can complain to the bank's branch officer or toll-free number. Also, if an employee insults you, then it can complain. Every bank branch has written the name and address of the officer hearing the complaint.

 

Compensation for delay in check collection: Customers have the right to get compensation if they take more time than the scheduled time from the bank in the check collection. The compensation amount will be paid according to the simple interest rate.

 

The right to withdraw the security: If a customer has taken the loan from the bank, for which security has been given, then in this case security should be returned within 15 days of paying the entire liability.

 

Replace torn old notes: If you have got cracked or old notes from somewhere, you can change your torn / old notes by going to any branch of the bank. Bank notes cannot deny in return.

 

The right to know about the special conditions of deposit accounts: It is important for the banks to give the details of the special conditions of deposit accounts to customers at the time of account opening. This is the right of any customer. If the bank is not doing this then you can complain.

 

The account cannot be closed on zero amount: Even if the amount in the BSBD account is zero, the bank cannot close your account. They also do not have the right to impose a fine on the nominee of the nominee.

 

Right to transfer funds: Any person can deposit up to Rs. 50,000 through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) from any bank in any other bank account. It is not necessary that the person in the concerned bank has an account.

 

Elderly/disabled service on the same window: It is important for the banks to give all facilities to the elderly/disabled people on the same window (place).
