The Delhi government has decided that 40 government services such as water connection to marriage certificate will be provided to the people at home. Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia gave this information. 

Sisodia said that it will save citizens' time and frequent visits to government offices. He called this decision 'to bring the government to the door' and 'home delivery of governance'. 

The Minister said that this service will be available to the citizens other than the normal office period. Sisodia said that for this, a small fee will be charged from the people and services of a private company will be taken for these services.

Under the new project, if a person wants a certificate from the government, then he will have to call the call center. After that a 'Mobile Assistant' will go to the applicant's home or office and collect the necessary documents, file the photo and biometric details, and then complete the application process.

Terming this service as the first of its kind in India, the minister said that the applicants can pay the prescribed application fee to the 'Mobile Assistant'. The 40 services which will be covered under this category include services like OBC and SC / ST certificates, motor registration certificates, driving licenses, Divyang and old certificates as well as sewage connections. Sisodia said that gradually all government services will be added to it. This project will be implemented in three to four months.
