An officer in Vasai Virar Municipal corporation for arrested today for asking an amount of 5 lakh rupees from a builder is Vasai. The officer thretened the man to pay the amount in any manner or else he would harm him. 

The accused names Prem Singh Jadhav was arrested as he accepted extorting an amount of 5 lakh but denied the exact time when this happened.

The builder filed a complaint against the officer, which resulted in the arrest of the officer.

Jadhav told the builder that someone has informed the administration that there is some underground construction which is illegal going on. They have also demanded an amount of 25 lakh rupees .

When the buider denied any such thing is happening. The officer gave him simple threats that his other mates and members of the Shiv sena would harm him and torture him if he fails to pay the amount.

In the recent past the Palghar police has registered various cases of extortion in the same region.

Jadhav has been booked under IPC section 384  and 386, extortion , and threatening to death respectively .

Police is also working on same types of cases to find more corrupt officers , in fact if any association of political party or member is involved.
