Dehradun: For the wintry weather, the order of closure of the four valves of Uttarakhand has set in motion. Today,  The Holy Mother Ganga will make tracks from Gangotri Dham for the winter migration. After 6 months of the journey, the valleys of Gangotri Dham will be shut at 11.45 am on the Anakoot festival for the winter season.

The pilgrims of Gangotri and Yamunotri temple committee have accomplished preparations to close the hallways of Kedarnath Dhams. Today, on the Anakoot festival after Govardhan pooja, around 11.45 pm the court hall of Gangotri temple will be closed by the temple legislation simultaneously.

This is the first time after the disaster when the Char Dham Yatra could return to its old color, which is happy with the people dependent on this journey. After the horrific disastrous 2013 flood, Chadham Yatra was completely derailed due to this, the number of passengers reaching Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham was greatly reduced.

It is worth mentioning that every year on the day of Akshaya Tritiya, the doors of Gangotri Dham open, and the walls of Kedarnath Dham are closed on the next day of Deepawali i.e. on the day of Govardhan Puja.
