Xiaomi has stopped the Rollout Process for the Android 8.0 Oreo update of its Mi A1 smartphone at the moment. Remember that on December 31, the company had released the Android 8.0 Oreo update for Xiaomi Mi A1. Xiaomi Mi A1 was launched under Google's Android One program. Launched in September 2017, this smartphone comes with Android 7.1.2 Nougat.

During the launch, the company had promised to update the handset and on October 31, the OTA update was also rollout. However, some early users who receive updates have complained about the handset's performance.

According to Gizchaina's report, many users have complained of getting the dialer and camera app freezing, fingerprint sensor and resident app buttons inactivated and slow down of the ambient light sensor. It has also been claimed that battery consumption is faster when Bluetooth is activated. Some Redirector has given information about the closure of the update process. On the other hand, in a report of piunika, It has used a screenshot of the community, which states that the company has temporarily stopped Android Oreo update.

Xiaomi has also agreed to a lack of Android Oreo update. In a Mi Community forum, the company said that some users in India are complaining of the freeze of the dialer due to the app. The company has suggested that such users can uninstall the My Jio app from their phones, or disable telephone permissions.

Xiaomi says, "We investigated the complaint of the hanging of the dialer by some users and found that it is being done due to my jio app. It has been found that due to the availability of all permissions to my jio app it is a complaint." The company has also explained the way to overcome this shortcoming.

Xiaomi  Mi A1includes the Picture-In-Picture mode, the new Notification Dot, Background Limit, Auto-Phil and Smart Text Selection, along with the Android 8.0 OReO update. In addition, Xiaomi has also improved improvements such as adaptive app icons and even faster boot experience. It is worth mentioning that the Xiaomi Mi A1 smartphone is the first device of the series, which has received the Android Orio update.

The company of Bijigaon announced last month the feedback on beta testers about new updates.  Xiaomi launched the phone in India for Rs 14,999. But after the price cut down last month, the phone has now been made available for Rs 13,999.
