We will carry more reforms soon; don’t be said over one quarter of slow growth: PM

NEW DELHI: In the strongest argument of the economy, PM Narendra Modi took on his challenger on Wednesday, promising to reverse the declining economic growth curve by continuing the modification programme, while committing to address all concerns related to the execution of goods and services tax.

Modi said creating an air of gloominess over one quarter of slow growth was not justified, a reference apparently intended at the opposition and in-house detractor like former FM Yashwant Sinha.

"We will uphold financial stability and make the first move with all possible steps to March up investment and the growth rate. I want to give surety you the steps initiated by the government will put the country in a league of growth and progress," Modi said while addressing company secretaries in Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi.
