New Delhi [India], Jan 12 (NT): on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the 22nd National Youth Festival (NYF) through video conferencing address on Friday.

The five-day- youth carnival will be held at the Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Union Minister for State (Independent Charge) of Youth Affairs and Sports Col. Rajyavardhan Rathore also will deliver their address in The introductory function.

 As per reports Union, Minister for Culture (Independent Charge) Mahesh Sharma will attend the function as the guest of honor.

The carnival is planned by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in the group effort with the Yogi-led- Uttar Pradesh government.

This is the first time when the National Youth Festival (NYF) is being held in NCR.

The purpose of the NYF is to give a stage to the youth of the nation together in an effort to present them with an opportunity to showcase their calibers in different activities.

The theme of the youth-carnival is 'Sankalp Se Siddhi', to take advantage on the demographic dividend of young India, to retain the enthusiasm and fresh perception of youth and to assure to achieve the objectives of’ New India’.

According to Govt. officials, approximately 5000 volunteers of the National Service Scheme (NSS) and Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan from all parts of the nation together with local accredited youth will take a part in the carnival. (NT)
