Dhandhuka (Gujarat) [India] Dec. 06 (NT): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday lauded the Congress party to connect Ram Temple in Ayodhya with 2019 elections.

Speaking at a public meeting here, Prime Minister Modi took a dig at the Congress over its head Kapil Sibal's urging in the Supreme Court on Ramajanambhoomi-Babri Masjid heated discussion.

"Yesterday in the apex court, a Congress MP Kapil Sibal was in conflict at the Babri Masjid issue. He is entitled to do that but is it right for him to say: postpone hearing till 2019? Why does he have to link a Ram Mandir with elections? Is such thinking proper," the Prime Minister raised quations.

Modi further asserted, "Now Congress is connecting Ram Mandir with 2019 Polls. They are slightest bothered about the country."

While representing the Sunni Waqf Board in the Ramjanambhoomi-Babri Masjid case on Tuesday, Congress MP Sibal asked the court to hold the issue till 2019 general elections as "the case was being used to polarize the voters with grabbing an eyeball on the polls".

The Top court didn't agree with his appeal and fixed the final hearing for February 8, 2018.

Now the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been training the guns at Congress by asking to make clear what the actual sense of Sibal’s statement was.
