On the occasion of Basant Panchami, Bihar’s Chief Minister congratulates and pour good wishes to people,  not only Bihar’s chief Minister greet people but India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulates to the people of India.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi on today extended greetings to the nation and wished for happier society on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami.

"Greetings on Basant Panchami. I pray that this auspicious occasion makes our society happier and even more harmonious. May the blessings of Maa Saraswati always remain with us and bestow us with wisdom," the Prime Minister tweeted.

The festival, which marks the onset of spring, is celebrated all over India in various ways depending on the region. Many people revere Goddess Saraswati on the occasion and seek her blessings for prosperity in their wisdom and knowledge.

Vasant Panchami, also known as Basant Panchami, is a Hindu spring festival. The occasion is observed on the fifth day of the Indian traditional calendar month of Magha, which typically falls in the Gregorian months of January or February.

The festival is celebrated in various ways depending on the region. Many revere goddess Saraswati, the Hindu deity of learning, arts and music. She is celebrated with visits to her temples, by playing music, as well as the day when parents sit down with their children, initiate them into writing letters of alphabet or study together.
