New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi , HM Rajnath Singh  and Indian national Congress on Monday expressed birthday wishes for former prime minister and Bharatiya Janata Party dynamic leader Atal Bihari Vajpayee on his 93rd birthday. 

PM Modi hailed the former prime minister's "visionary leadership" on his twitor wall which read the message “Birthday greetings to our beloved Atal Ji. His phenomenal as well as visionary leadership made India more developed and further raised our prestige at the world stage. I pray for his good health." PM Modi tweeted.

President Kovind posted a birthday greeting messege on his Twitter wall that read

“Birthday wishes to our much-loved and respected former Prime Minister, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee.”President Kovind tweeted.

 Along with PM Modi and President Kovind Home Minister RajnathSinghh also took to Twitter to express his good wishes to the much-loved leader and “Guru". 

Singh tweeted,” Warm wishes to our beloved leader and guide, Shri Atalji on his birthday today. Atalji is a towering and visionary leader who introduced good governance, development and politics of performance in Indian polity. I pray for his good health and long life”.

The opposition party INC Indian national Congress also greeted Atalji and posted the birthday message along with the pic of him which is read

“We wish former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee a very Happy Birthday” INC tweeted.

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman expressed her greetings to the former Prime Minister as well.

She took to twitter and wrote: "Birthday greetings to Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee, a very inspiring and a much-admired leader. My prayers for his better & improved health".

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley portrayed Atalji as “my guide and mentor” and said: “May God bless him with good health.”
