The name of Narendra Modi as the best Prime Minister of the country's prime ministers till now has been revealed in a survey. 26 per cent of them has preferred him as the best prime minister. Survey says that Narendra Modi is one PM with the choice of 26 per cent people, while Indira Gandhi is in second place with the likes of 20 per cent people. While 12 percent of people voted for the former prime minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Although, in the survey conducted in July 2018, the popularity of PM Modi has come down. In the same period last year that is, in July 2017, 33 per cent of them liked him. In January this year, the figure had dropped to 28 per cent, which has now reached 26 per cent. In February 2016, Modi was the choice of only 14 per cent of the people. At that time, Indira was preferred by 26 and Vajpayee 16 per cent people.

Apart from these three, 10 percent of the country's people like first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. In the survey, Rajiv Gandhi has been given 7 percent, Lal Bahadur Shastri 6 percent, Manmohan Singh 6 per cent, Gulzarilal Nanda 2 percent, Morarji Desai 2 per cent, Charan Singh 2 percent, and VP Singh, Chandrasekhar, PV Narasimha Rao also the same. HD Deve Gowda is liked by one per cent of people.

Talking about the different parts of the country, 37 percent of the respondents in the survey preferred Narendra Modi, 16 per cent to Indira Gandhi and 11 percent preferred Atal Bihari Vajpayee. In eastern India, PM Modi has said 24 per cent to Indira 21 per cent and Vajpayee 14 per cent people as their choice. Indira Gandhi's elevation in the south seems to be a big hit on Modi. Only 18 per cent of the people have liked Modi while Indira Gandhi was 21 per cent and Atal ji was chosen only 6 per cent. Modi and Indira's popularity in the western part is equally popular. Both got 22-22 per cent of the people's vote. The survey had taken feedback from 12100 people across the country.
