Jharsuguda: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Odisha's second airport at Jharsuguda district named after freedom fighter Veer Surendra Sai.

There were many politicians presented during inaugural event. Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram, and Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu were also present in the event.

PM modi said that this new airpot as centre point of Bhubneshwar and said that This airport in Jharsuguda is well located to meet the needs of the people of Odisha and its second airport in the state of the state. This airport is at the 'Triveni Sangam'  will be a centre point for Bhubaneswar, Ranchi and Raipur.

PM also spoke on the significance of the connectivty on the development of the nation. Highlighting importance of connectivity, Modi said that Connectivity is at the core of all-round development of the nation. NDA has devoted significant efforts to imrpove connectivity all over the nation. It will attract industrialists to invest in Jharsuguda, Sambhalpur and surrounding areas.

Pm Modi also spoke about the development of the Gujrat cities he spoke he hails from Gujarat and they have a district called Kutch. there are five airports in that one district. He further added that We need to wonder why it took so many years for a second airport to come up in Odisha whereas Civil Aviation Minister Suresh Prabhu was explaining him about the growth in the aviation sector.
