PM Modi’s Manipur tour is to shower several developmental gifts.

PM Modi reached Manipur's Imphal. He will be addressing the 105th session of the Indian Science Congress at Manipur University shortly, along with inaugurating several projects. Governor Najma Heptulla & CM N.Biren Singh were present to receive PM Modi at the airport.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is to lay the foundation stone of various projects including National Sports University and inaugurate many other projects at the Luwangsangbam Multi-Sports Complex in Imphal on Friday.

At Luwangshangbam, the Prime Minister would launch Luwangpokpa Multi-Sports Complex, ST Girls Hostel (Liberal College) and Rani Gaidinliu Park (Mantripukhri). He would also lay foundation stones for a number of projects including National Sports University, 15 transit accommodations for doctors and teachers, 1000 Anganwadi Centres etcetera.

The Science Congress will witness the congregation of about 5000 delegations including three Noble laureates, scientists, scholars and researchers from all across the country, according to the reports of NDTV.

The Key highlights of the program include the children’s science congress, which will be launch on 17 March, and the Women's science congress, to be inaugurated on 18 and 19 March. In addition, there will be a Science Communicator’s Meet on 19 March according to First Post.

The main theme for the 2018 Science Congress is “Reaching the Unreached through Science and Technology”.
