PM Modi reached Arunachal Pradesh on a day-long visit to the state. Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu BJP welcomed PM Modi in Itanagar.Here PM Narendra Modi inaugurated various projects in Itanagar,  today including Dorjee Khandu State Convention Centre.

In his address, PM Modi drew attention to Aadhaar card and said We strengthened Direct Benefit Transfer, said, Modi.

 PM further said, “We began using Aadhaar card for DBT. We had widows whom we used to send money. There were lot of loopholes. With Direct Benefit Transfer, we have stopped all this. This money used to go into the pockets of somebody. This is good governance for me, “said Modi.

PM Modi lauded CM  Khandu in Itanagar and said, “Since Pema Khandu is not a CM of a state near Delhi, he is not given much TV space. But it is Khandu who is making a blueprint for developing Arunachal Pradesh by 2027,”PM said.

 Announcing New train service for Arunachal Pradesh  PM said, “My fourth big decision is that there will be a new Express train between New Delhi and Naharlagun. This will run twice a week and it will be called Arunachal Express,” informed Modi.

PM Modi stressed medical education in India and said,"We are making sure that there is at least one hospital and a medical college in at least every two to three constituency. A student can study medicine in their own state which will help bring the local touch in the field. We want to bring medical facilities in the interiors of India," said Modi.

 Insisted strengthening of DoNER, Modi said, "I have come for you. I have come to serve you and for the sake of Arunachal Pradesh. We had the North East Development Council meeting in the North East. I have made sure that every Union Minister is in the North East for at least for some time in a week. We have brought transparency and accountability in the workings of DoNER, " Modi described.

 About the development of tourism in Arunachal Pradesh  Modi said,"We want to improve tourism in Arunachal. I will tell people to come to Arunachal Pradesh for their meetings and conferences. Lot of people do it in Delhi and Mumbai. I will tell them to explore the land of Arunachal Pradesh," said PM Modi.
