Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India], Dec 12 (NT): Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a trip from Sabarmati River in Ahmedabad to Dharoi Dam via sea-plane, which is the first-ever air-craft in the nation, on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Modi in a public meeting on Monday had said, "Tomorrow for the first time in the history of the nation a sea-plane will land on the Sabarmati River. I will go to Ambaji in the sea-plane after landing in Dharoi dam and come back."
.Remaining parts of Gujarat, including Ahmedabad, are lined up to go for polls on December 14.The first phase of polling was conducted on December 9 with 68 percent voter turnout recorded.Counting of votes will take place on December 18, 2018.
The Congress is eyeing to triumph over the Saffron BJP government in the state.
The very last Congress government in Gujarat was under the leadership of Chhabildas Mehta from February 17, 1994, to March 13, 1995. (NT)
