After the change in GST, the country got the opportunity to celebrate Diwali this time in a cheaper way. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who arrived in Dwarka on a two-day visit to Gujarat, claimed that his decision on GST has been welcomed all over the country and in particular the business class of the country will get a good profit this Diwali.

He said that on the basis of the suggestions of the people and the experience gained in the first three months, the government has made major changes in GST. They will continue to work in this direction even further. He said that he will never let the business class of the country gets trapped in the junk of Babuji and Lal Patshahi. PM Modi said that simple tax has been simplified with changes made by the GST Council. 

Three months after the implementation of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) system, there have been several major decisions in the GST Council meeting. 
Small and medium enterprises have given great relief in the matter of payment of taxes and filing returns. 

Also, the rules have been made easy for exporters. GST rates have been cut on more than two dozen items including pen, pencil, non-branded snacks and Ayurvedic medicines.
