Greater Noida (Uttar Pradesh) [India] January 12 (NT): In the wake of National Youth Festival which is marked on the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday addressed via video conferencing. He made a statement that his government wants to promote the nation’s youth as innovators and transform them job creators.

Addressing the 22nd National Youth Festival the Prime Minister said, that “we were born after 1947, thus, we did not have the honor to take part in the freedom struggle. But, we have the opportunity to fulfill the dreams of the great men and women who devoted their lives for our freedom”

In the wake of his Campaign “New India and Young India,” PM Modi further said

 “We have to create India that our freedom fighters dreamt of. We want to make our youth job creators. They should be encouraged to become the ones who innovate."

PM Modi added that during his monthly radio address in 'Mann Ki Baat' on December 31 episode, “I had called for organizing mock parliaments in our districts. Such mock parliaments will further the spirit of discussion among our youth”

On the occasion of birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the five-day youth festival began today at Gautam Buddha University in Greater Noida.

The youth-carnival is held by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with theYogi-led- government of Uttar Pradesh.(NT)
