PM Modi to inaugurate first Global Mobility Summit today

Prime Minister Modi is all set to launch the global mobility summit 'MOVE' in the national capital on Thursday. Comprehensive deliberations along 5 themes are to take place ranging from electrification and alternative fuels and reinventing public transport. The two-day meet of stakeholders has been organized by the NITI Aayog.

The raising knowledge about various aspects of Mobility and bringing various stakeholders involved in enhancing mobility from corner to corner of different platforms, representative from various Intergovernmental Organizations, Academia, Policy Think tanks from India and overseas, Global leaders from across the mobility sector will be present in the 2-day Global Mobility Summit – MOVE beginning Friday in New Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch the Global Mobility Summit - MOVE - which among other things will deliberate on 5 themes including comprehensive: electrification and alternative fuels, reinventing public transport, goods transport and logistics and data analytics and mobility.

The summit on purpose of 5 themes---comprehensive: electrification & alternative fuels, reinventing public transport, goods transport & logistics and data analytics and mobility.

The main focal point of the summit is to make cities of India pollution free.

Deliberations on steps to promote more and more usage of electric vehicles among the people in public places and to bring awareness about various aspects of Mobility.

The Global Mobility Summit is the first of its kind, with over 2200 participants from across the world. Representatives from India across the mobility sector such as OEMs, Battery Manufacturers, Charging Infrastructure Providers and technology solution providers are also participating in the 2-day summit.
