New Delhi: On Tuesday, PM Narendra Modi will be holding a day-long fast with all BJP lawmakers. He is going to observe this fast to show his protest against the recent washout of Parliament blaming the opposition for the disruption. The development comes a day after Congress chief Rahul Gandhi lead a similar protest against the BJP-led government at the Centre to promote peace and communal harmony. BJP president Amit Shah will also be holding a similar protest in West Bengal's Hubli.

On Wednesday, Modi will address MPs through video conferencing. He will interact with some of them on the day when the MPs will be holding "Samata Diwas" in their respective constituencies on the occasion of Jyotiba Phule birth anniversary.

Earlier, PM Narendra Modi on Friday had blamed the opposition of divisive politics and announced that BJP MPs will observe a fast on April 12. The day-long fast will be observed to protest the deadlock in Parliament, for which he blamed the Congress. With opposition parties targeting the government over Dalit protests, PM Modi also said BJP MPs and other leaders will spend a night between April 14 and May 5 in over 20,844 villages with over 50% population of scheduled castes and tribes to inform the masses about the Centre's various measures aimed at their welfare.
