New Delhi [India], June 19 (NT): Forgetting all Rusk with grand old party, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended greetings to Congress president Rahul Gandhi on his 48th birthday.
Prime Minister Modi took his official Twitter handle and wished for long and healthy life to Congress scion.
"Birthday greetings to Congress President Shri @RahulGandhi. I pray for his long and healthy life," Pm Modi tweeted.
On a related note this is Rahul's first birthday after becoming the Congress president.
Meanwhile, the Congress workers celebrated Rahul Gandhi’s birthday outside party's headquarters in Delhi.
According to ANI Posters of Rahul were also put up outside the headquarters and drums were played to celebrate his special day.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi turns 48 on Tuesda but he received Birthday wishes from Monday itself. 24th Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy met Rahul Gandhi to wish him. Gandhi has generally been reserved about celebrating his birthdays with any trumpet blast, and is known to leave Delhi to have fun it with his close friends.
As we all know that this will be his first birthday as the Congress president and he planed to spend the day with Congress workers at the party headquarters in New Delhi. Party units, including the Youth Congress and Congress women’s wing, have also organized events.
