Islamabad [Pakistan], Oct 26 (NT): Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan will begin his first ever visit to China on November 2. He will continue his visit there till November 5 at the invitation of the Chinese leadership.

Imran Khan's first official visit to China will be accompanied by a high-level delegation including Minister of Foreign Affairs Shah Mehmood Qureshi, a statement from Pakistan's foreign ministry informed.

He assumed office in August 2018 as prime minister of Pakistan. During this visit, Khan is scheduled to hold meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang in Beijing. The two nations will assess the entire range of bilateral ties, including the multi-billion dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and are likely to sign a number of agreements of cooperation in diverse fields.

After his visit to Beijing, Khan will visit Shanghai to take part in the First China International Import Expo, where Pakistan is exhibiting a wide range of export products. Khan will be a keynote speaker at the inauguration of the expo, as the statement added.

On the sidelines of the Shanghai forum, the Pakistan Prime Minister is also listed to hold talks with other world leaders. The cricketer-turned-politician will also hold meetings with leaders of the Chinese financial and corporate sector.

Worth mention here the 66-year-old leader's tour to China comes in the backdrop of the Pakistan government securing a USD 6 billion deal with Saudi Arabia, while his visit to the kingdom nation earlier this week.
