The President of the US President Donald Trump has suspended his decade-old program to train the Pak soldiers. This claim was made in the media report a few days after the signing of an agreement between Islamabad and Moscow on the Pakistan-Russia military training program. The two countries have signed an agreement in Rawalpindi after the meeting of the first joint military advisory committee (JMCC) between Pakistan and Russia on Tuesday. In the meeting, the two sides discussed the current situation of bilateral defence relations and agreed to train the training personnel of the Russian soldiers in the Russian training institutes. The newspaper 'Don' wrote on the official sources that the US military establishment is trying to fill 66 sites for the upcoming academy session, which was kept for Pak.

According to Dawn, the Trump administration has also refused to fund the training of Pak soldiers. According to the report, funding for military training came from the US Government's International Military Education and Training Program (IMET). According to the report, Washington has received information from the US Defense University (NDU) to stop funding from the newspaper, which has been reserving quota for Pakistan over the past decade.

In Pakistan-American relations since January, Pakistan-US relations soured in January this year when Trump accused Islamabad of cheating and on giving a safe place to terrorists. The US Congress also passed a bill to reduce Pak defence help to $ 15 million.
