After a three-day shatter, the Parliament Kicks off its the first session in the New Year on Tuesday,.

Two key bills were taken up on Monday one is Medical Commission Bill and another one is triple talaq bill.

Govt refuses to back down on Medical Bill asThe Lok Sabha discussed The National Medical Commission Bill, a controversial bill, which has caused disappointed to lakhs of practicing allopathy doctors.

The Rajya Sabha today on Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill, popularly known as the triple talaq bill, set to debate on this tomorrow which has already been cleared in Lok Sabha.

 As given that the ruling Modi –led Government does not enjoy the majority in the Upper House, and a number of regional parties have uttered their disapproval over the proposed Bill draft, the debate in the Rajya Sabha should be interesting.

We are in discussion mode with Congress party and others for the triple talaq Bill, hope for a smooth passage in Rajya Sabha said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar to the reporters.

TripleTalaqBill has been listed for today’s discussion but as far as left parties are concerned, we will demand that bill should be referred to Select Committee of Rajya Sabha said D Raja, CPI
