PM Modi government gave relief from fuel price hikes on the third consecutive day. Petrol and diesel prices are cut across all metro city of India on Wednesday. With this new revision of the fuel prices are as follows –

Petrol prices are in the national capital Delhi Rs 81.99 per litre and it is decreased by Rs 0.39 while diesel prices are Rs 75.36 per litre, it is decreased by Rs 0.12. On the other hand Petrol prices in  the financial capital Mumbai are Rs 87.46 per litre decreased by Rs 0.38 and diesel price are Rs 79.00 per litre it is decreased by Rs 0.13.

Petrol and diesel are being retailed at Rs 84.21 per litre and Rs 77.33 per litre, respectively in Kolkata. While petrol prices in Chennai are at Rs 85.63 per litre and diesel at Rs 79.82 per litre.

Yesterday Petrol prices was in the national capital Delhi Rs 82.62 per litre and it was decreased by Rs 0.21 while diesel prices was Rs 75.58 per litre  and it was decreases by Rs 0.11.Petrol prices in the financial capital Mumbai was Rs 88.08 per litre  and it was decreased by Rs 0.21  while diesel price was Rs 79.24 per litre  and it was decreased by Rs 0.11 .

Worth mention here BJP lead government had, with effect from 5 October, slashed excise duty on petrol and diesel by Rs 1.50 per litre and asked state-owned oil firms to subsidies the fuel price by another Re 1 a litre, but the retail selling price continued to increase on following days.
