New Delhi: Fuel prices witnessed another large slash on Friday as international crude oil prices continued to go down and the Indian rupee also appreciated in opposition to the US dollar. On Friday, petrol, diesel prices cut down between 40-45 paise per litre across all metro cities of the nation.

After today's price slash, petrol was priced at Rs 75.57 in Delhi while diesel was being sold at Rs 70.56 as against Rs 70.97 on Thursday. Talking about Mumbai, petrol became cheaper by 40 paise per litre while diesel price was slashed by 43 paise per litre to Rs 81.10 and Rs 73.91 respectively.

Speaking on other metro cities like Chennai and Kolkata, petrol was retailed at Rs 78.46 and Rs 77.53 respectively while diesel was priced at Rs 74.99 and Rs 72.83 respectively.

Worth mention here in the month of November so far, petrol prices have cut by Rs 4 per litre while diesel has become cheaper by Rs 3.10 across major cities of the nation.

The recent fall in fuel prices has given a big relief to consumers. This cut down will have a positive impact on the country's inflation reading, which the RBI uses for taking decision on policy rates.
